Introduction to the tolmedia CMS
The Content Management System (CMS) is built in to all tolmedia websites. The URL will be emailed to you when your site goes live and you will be able to set up a password and log in to make changes to your site content. This tutorial gives an overview of how to use the CMS.
Your site consists of one or more pages. On each page there are text and image sections - collectively referred to as "items" - that can be changed or moved around. You can change also the basic "page" details such as header titles, descriptions, key words, etc.
Once logged in you will see a row of buttons across the top of your own home page - this is the CMS navigator. You can now navigate to any page you want to amend and change the content. The main menu will still be active - use this in the normal way.
These buttons comprise the navigator. The first 4 buttons are hover-sensitive - move the mouse-pointer over them and you will see more function buttons drop down.
This tutorial is divided into sections, one for each button. Use the tutorial index to explore and learn about the functions of each one.
